"Adolescent Offender"

(Youth Part of Family Court)

Appearance ticket

​​

  1. Fingerprint the juvenile at a non adult-holding facility.  

  2. Issue Adolescent Offender appearance ticket for the date and time "Youth Part" of County Court.

  3. File an Adolescent Offender Felony Complaint.

  4. Complete an arrest report.

  5. If there are other Misd/Violation charges, list them on all paperwork/prints as well.

 

Arraignment​

  1. Fingerprint the juvenile at a non adult-holding facility.  

  2. File a Adolescent Offender Felony Complaint.

  3. If there is a gap in any time from processing to court, the juvenile must be released to their parents with instructions to return to court at the appropriate time.

  4. Bring the AO to an adult segregated area for arraignment.

  5. If an AO is remanded to detention, securing order must be obtained from Judge and arresting agency must complete transport.

  6. Copies of paperwork must be given to defendant, defense, DA, and parents.

  7. All other minor charges can be filed with this court as well.
